Welcome, women of the World Wide Web. We all know that weddings can get really expensive. Depending on where you live and the culture, there is a chance that the wedding cost will not be so high due to money gifts. There are places where wedding guests are expected to arrive with a cheque or cash so that the bride and groom can pay off most, if not all, the cost of the celebration. No one will kick you out if you don't comply, but it would be considered a faux pas to arrive empty-handed. In other cultures, expecting money is completely unheard of and even considered tacky! Guests might be more inclined to give a physical gift or contribute to a wedding registry.

In our story today, a bride demands money from her guests. It is unclear whether or not she hails from a money-gifting culture, but even if she did, she is so adamant about it that it rubs out protagonist the wrong way. If you decide to give money as a wedding gift, it should be based on your own salary, what amount you are willing to part with, and your personal relatonship with the bride and groom. It should not be based off of the couple's financial situation.
