Disney Characters Reimagined as Mermaids for Everyone Still Secretly in Their Mermaid Phase

Did you ever go through a mermaid phase? I can say I probably went through several mermaid phases, and they naturally all occurred around the summer time. I loved pretending that I was a mermaid with my friends. I would splash water around and pretend that it was my mermaid magic, hold my breath for as long as possible underwater, and wear those ridiculously long flippers, imagining that those plastic atrocities were my beautiful mermaid tail. 

When you're a kid, sometimes playing pretend can feel extremely real. A couple of times I managed to convince myself that I had real mermaid powers just because I could keep my eyes open underwater despite the sting of the chlorine pool or because I found a pretty shell on the beach. This is what happens when you grow up watching the Austrialian show H20 and Disney's classic, The Little Mermaid.
