Gentle dog abandoned by owners for getting "too big", is then thankfully rescued by a shelter where they find out that this canine is not exactly a regular dog

Dogs are pawfect - in every shape and form they come in. Dogs that have three legs are pawfect, clumsy and adorable as they are. Blind dogs are adorable, because they manage to find joy everywhere, even in darkness. Deaf dogs are precious, especially when they bark silently thinking that they are making noise. "Impawfect" dogs are still pawfect - because of their imperfections, not in spite of them.

We thought everyone understood this, but apparently, that is not true. Apparently, some people think that when their dog gets "too big" for their liking, that means that it is time to schedule it for euthanasia. Seriously. Because that is exactly what this owner did. They saw that their dog was becoming bigger than they thought, and the option that they chose was the worst one possible. It's lucky that kinder, better people found Yuki and gave him a new life, a new opportunity at happiness, because he deserved it… even if he wasn't exactly a dog in the first place.

Let's be honest - it is entirely the previous owner's loss. We don't know about you, but as people who have always had relatively small dogs before, we have always tried to imagine what it would be like to cuddle with a doggo this big. They had the chance to find out, and they lost it.

Yuki, the sweet wolfdog that he was, has unfortunately passed away. He was thirteen years old, and he passed peacefully in his sleep. It was a long life, and he was loved not only by his care takers but also by the endless people who have read his story.
