HOA sends letters to non-HOA homeowner, owner gets back at entitled HOA president: 'I crashed the meeting... the president emailed back'

If you've ever wanted to have your home's paint color questioned, or have your shrubbery scrutinized by strangers, joining an HOA is just the thing you should do. If you love paying hundreds of dollars for the sin of leaving your trashcan at the curb, or for parking outside your own home, go ahead and live in an HOA-run development. Of course, most of us don't like to live that way. We just want to decorate our homes as we see fit, and try our best to keep our home looking nice. In fact, many people avoid HOAs at all costs, because they can cost you thousands if you're in their clutches. 

This person went after an HOA and got some satisfying results. They never should've had to deal with this in the first place, because their home isn't even in HOA territory!
