Okay, this guy is REALLY good! It's one thing to paint beautiful, detailed, large murals using aerosol cans, but it's a whole different kind of talent to make these artworks seem to jump out and interact with their surroundings. French artist Pierre Bertolotti, also known as Scaf, does this with such ease that I'm left in complete awe. His hyperrealistic 3D graffiti transforms ordinary urban spaces into extraordinary experiences, depicting creatures like dinosaurs and more.
Born in 1980, Bertolotti's journey into the world of art began at a young age, and he later honed his skills through formal education. His work often draws inspiration from classic movies and video games, especially from the '90s, reflecting his personal experiences and artistic vision.
I think what I like the most about his work is the clever ways he manages to incorporate himself into the final work, where he will be running away from a dinosaur, riding a giant snake or dressed up in full costume alongside a ninja turtle.
He also seems to incorporate his dogs into almost every photo in a fun and whimsical way, so I'm completely sold—dogs make everything better.
Enjoy these 31 insanely creative murals by this wonderful artist.
