Sometimes you see something that is so badly designed that it moves you to action. For example, whenever I hear a TV ad that's 300% louder than it should be, I personally vow to never buy the item they're selling. Or if I open a bag of chips to see it's 80% air, it makes me so irritated that I make a mental note that I will never again pay good money for that snack food. It may not make a difference to that company if a single customer stops buying their products, but it'll make your life slightly better, at least.
