This man sounds like a real monster. I wonder about their relationship history, or how long they've been together. I would have a hard time believing he's never done anything like this, or that this is the first red flag. This is such an extreme form of “joking” with someone that it has to have bled into other aspects of their relationship for the time they've been together. She may not want to divorce now since she's pregnant, but down the road of their marriage and parenting together things will only get worse.
