The story is a bit unclear to me. Does the protagonist live in the home, or just own it? I'm assuming he lives in it, which would mean that his family is asking him to relocate and get a new place. This is obviously surpassing boundaries. You can't just ask someone to move out, that's so much time and work.

What would you do? Would you give up a home that's rightfully given to you for your financially struggling brother? Would you keep it for yourself? I think if I were in this situation I would also not give up the home. His brother is a grown man, and if his parents are worried about him they can help him financially.
