Wow. You really don't realize how much the sun affects your mood until you've endured like 5 months of winter and then BAM—it's a beautiful day out and you feel like life is worth living again. The run really rejuvenates you. Sure, it's still pretty chilly out there, but at least it's not below freezing or in the negatives anymore! At least for now… There are always those initial teaser days that make you super excited for spring but then like a week later, you're freezing again. Anybody who has been around the earth's rotation several times knows not to pack up the big sweaters and extra blankets just yet.
But these longer days where we get to soak up the sun longer—chef's kiss! It is so disheartening to leave work when it's dark out. And most get to work even before the sun is up! It's just perpetual darkness until we get closer to spring. Now the sun is out and you are ready to take on the world!
