One of my all-time favorite writers, and all-time favorite novels, Kundera so eloquently paints the picture of what nostalgia really is. It really is a form of blindness, a dissolution. It isn't seen in reality with straightforward thoughts and critical eyes. Time adds beauty to things, and in that way we're under the allure of its nostalgic aura.

It's the same for when we look back at decades. Though someone may not have understood it at the time, living through the 90s is remembered by many as a time of great joy and unique style, music, and iconic times. From grunge and pop music booming, to the unique style and evolving technology, people look back on the 90s with rose-colored glasses. The L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner commercials, the tamagotchi watches for kids, and crimping our hair were critical moments in childhood. These days, kids don't even know what a commercial even is! Enjoy these 90s nostalgia memes and think back to when you were a wholesome child without technology.

Cartoon Network is the best. I was such a Cartoon Network girly when I was a kid. Nickelodeon was alright, I had a couple shows I watched there. But I could spend hours at night watching the shows in Cartoon Network, and my favorite was when it turned into Adult Swim.
