Age and experience definitely play a role in this tale of coworker drama. The slightly older, more experienced male coworker agreed to help co-author a report with his 28-year-old female coworker, who was spread too thin at the office. However, she would eventually punish him and accuse him of taking credit for her work by putting his name down on the report. Mind you, he did not remove her name; he simply gave himself credit for his contributions to the project. Clearly, however, this struck a nerve, and HR ended up having to get involved.

What this younger coworker did not realize was that in going to HR, now their workplace dynamic will be forever changed as the older employee will feel a need to protect himself whenever he has to interact with her. Seems like a whole lot of tension and drama over some self-imposed paranoia.
