‘The gloves were off’: Couple purchases seats on either side of man in an empty theater, so he teaches them a lesson by ways of popcorn, candy, and commentary

Personal space is important for everyone, but it should be practiced daily among strangers. You never know what kind of person you're existing around, so it's best to assume they don't want to be rubbing elbows and shoulder blades with you in a public place. Most people know this common etiquette, but apparently, not everybody.

Knowing correct movie theater etiquette is equally important. If you're in an almost-empty movie theater, don't choose seats next to a stranger when there are just about one hundred choices to choose from… but that should be common sense, right? Well…

The movie-goer in this story finds out as soon as he sits down in a nearly-empty theater that a couple booked the seats on either side of him, despite there being many more seats for them to choose from. They also refuse to move their seats, so the man decides to make this the worst movie theater experience of their lives. Scroll below to see how the story unfolds.

The man starts the story by explaining that he bought tickets to see Madame Web in a 310-seat auditorium, and only a handful of those seats were occupied. So, he picked his seat and went on with his day. Not long after he plops down, a couple insists that they're sitting where he is, and then the chaos begins. However, though the man has been bested in terms of his seating arrangement, he has an entire one hour and 56 minutes to make this the most memorable movie showing they've ever seen… He becomes what he feared most, but all in the name of the greater good.
