These managers were pulling their hair out just trying to get their worst employees to do the bare minimum.

Retail managers do not have it easy. Employees come and go like a revolving door, leaving managers with a crew that constantly needs training. A lot of retail employees also just do not care about their jobs, and why would they? They're stuck making minimum wage and working with the crankiest customers imaginable. Still, some workers make laziness into an art form. They take as long as possible to do even the simplest task. They refuse to greet customers and can't figure out how to run the cash register. They always have time to lean, and never have a spare moment to clean. This leaves their managers extremely annoyed, and it can slow down the operation of the whole retail establishment. But if they don't have firing power, there's not really much these bosses can do to get their employees in line.

Next, this "boy mom" demanded that her pregnant daughter-in-law quit her job, leaving the DIL to say: "As soon as she found out we were having a baby, she sunk her claws in."
