First of all, the level of privilege that this group of 22-year-olds has must be acknowledged from the get-go before we get into the juicy drama. The fact that they can go on this many vacations together says quite a bit about their familial situations since it does not seem that many of these folks are making their own money yet.
Moving on, the first of three vacations in this story was the inciting incident for the unfolding friend group drama, where a couple within the group (Markus and Danielle) seemed to think that they could micromanage everyone else's whereabouts, spending, and day-to-day movements during their trip.

As we mentioned from the start, several folks noted in the comments just how privileged this friend group clearly was, but after making some clarifications, the young woman who initially shared the story did get some good advice from members of this online community. In the grand scheme of things, it has become clear that this couple does not like her and that she does not like this couple. At the end of the day, there is no point in traveling together again. Maintaining distance seems to be for the best.
