There is something a little sad about this story. Maybe it is the reality that cats, with age, might go through the same struggles that we can go through with age as well. But, at the end of the day, we can only hope that the people in our lives will treat us as kindly as the person in this story treats this cat.

We do agree with some of the commenters though. At this point in the kitty's life, maybe it's for the better to consider not letting her out anymore. We do understand, of course, that any changes at this age could be difficult for her, and if the only place she goes to is her old home, then maybe it's okay, but we would still consider keeping her inside.
