Fathers are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get inside. Two days post Valentine's day and boxes of chocolates are half price! Sometimes it can feel like that with fathers too. They have a way of being zany, wacky, and full of the most bizarre phrases. It's like their brains work on a hamster wheel, going 1000 miles an hour, and not making any sense at all. Jumping from one thing to the other, and no one seems to have a clue what they're even talking about. 

This brings us to the infamous dad joke. It has its name for a reason; dad jokes are cringy, silly, bizarre, but more than anything they're just strange and not funny. Has anyone ever actually liked a dad joke? I don't even think other dads like them. It's always, "I hated the food" to the server at a restaurant after they've eaten the whole plate, or calling cashiers by their nametag. They think they're being so unique and creative, but at the end of the day, it's just the same joke over and over and over again. 

Despite their peculiar behavior, their cringy jokes, and their one of a kind mentality, they're still our fathers, and we love them for that. Everyone has some sort of relationship with their father, something they're proud of and can look up to in them.
