Uncle introduces 9-year-old niece to Lord of the Rings and she becomes a fan, only for mom to find out and forbid uncle from babysitting again: ‘Apparently she doesn't know the difference between Game of Thrones and LOTR’

There is nothing quite like getting the opportunity to introduce a young kid to one of your favorite and best cinematic universes of all time.

I remember the first time my mom set me and my sister down to watch one of her favorite trilogies – Back to the Future. I remember how excited she was after we finished the first movie and asked to watch the second. It was like watching her become a kid herself as she watched this beloved piece with us, all of us having the time of our lives.

We all have that one thing we cannot wait to show our kids and hope they would love it as much as we do. It's a rite of passage, to get to experience those pieces for the first time through the eyes of someone we love and care for.

That was the initial experience for the lovely uncle in the story down below, who got to introduce his niece to the Lord of the Rings franchise, and she absolutely loved it.

However, when her mother found out what her uncle had been showing her, she was not pleased and threw some serious accusations at the uncle's face, forbidding him from babysitting his niece again.
They later found out that it was all due to a misunderstanding when the mom admitted she thought he showed her daughter Game of Thrones and not LOTR. Yet, the mom still refused to take her words back…
