Mom faces judgment for packing daughter processed school lunch, starts debate on parenting and nutrition: 'This is what every millennial ate growing up'

Sometimes the hard part of parenting isn't dealing with kids, but facing the opinions of other adults and parents. At its worst, it can feel like there are people just waiting to judge coming from all sides, whether they have a good reason to do so or not.

While pretty much any part of being a parent can fall victim to unsolicited opinions, one of the more common topics that is focused on is children's diets. Things like not cooking often enough or dealing with picky eaters can be enough to make outsiders feel like they have a say in what a parent should be feeding their child.

It is true that what kids eat can affect how they develop, but every mom and dad out there has slightly different ideas of what is acceptable when it comes to feeding children. It is no surprise that it makes for some heated internet debate.

This is exactly what was triggered by one mom who posted a picture of what she gave her daughter for her school lunch. Posting to Facebook a photo of mostly prepackaged foods and a caption that insisted she was “still a magic mom”, once the post spread to other social media it began to cause controversy. Twitter had some strong opinions on the matter.
