I had to share this because it's hilarious—my 10-year-old son recently started playing D&D (and I am just about bursting with pride). However, just like with his school supplies, toys, and literally everything else, he never knows where he put his character sheet. Every time I drop him off for a session, I ask, "Did you remember to take your character sheet?" and every time, he shrugs and says he has no idea where it is.
This has led to what can only be described as a "special" kind of campaign, where every other session, my son's character mysteriously disappears—and the group encounters an entirely new adventurer who just so happens to slightly resemble the last one. It's like a never-ending parade of long-lost twins, cousins, and suspiciously similar strangers joining the party.
I suggested the obvious solution—take a picture of the character sheet so he has it on his phone. But at this point, I think he's fully committed to the bit. This is just his style of playing now—a new session, a new character, and a new excuse for the DM to explain why this random person is suddenly tagging along.
So if you've ever lost your character sheet, rolled a nat 1 at the worst moment, or had to explain how your new character is totally different from the last one, these 30 D&D memes are for you!
