This is truly a wonderful example of hiw caring for animals means caring for animals. The nightwatchman was not concerned that the animal in need was not a horse. He was not concerned that the horse tech they had on hand would also work for a cat. And the reason being that thankfully we hoomans tend to treat all animals with a similar level of dignity and respect. If only we could be this way with other people.

Cats can be quite the tricky customers. It is no big secret that their pawsonalities tend to live on a knife edge between utterly wholesome and sweet, to terrifying sassiness and clawminality. Which rather pawfectly describes the range of emotions that this hooman experience having lost and then found her kitty.
