    ‘Florida isn't supposed to be cold!’: Entitled hotel customers demand refunds for their stays due to inclement weather, employee refuses to comply

    There's nothing like a warm vacation to help us forge that we're in the cold, dark middle of the winter season. For the U.S. northerners, you know how brutal our winters can be. We're fleshed out head-to-toe in heat-tech clothing, thermals, balaclavas, you name it. In the winter, you sacrifice fashion for warmth and comfort. But, when you're vacationing in a warmer climate, be prepared for sunny skies and one too many margaritas at the tiki bar. That is, unless, you're like the customers in this story, who booked a Florida vacation during a cold part of the season. Always check the weather before you book, folks!

    If you've already stayed at the hotel for five out of the seven days of your vacation stay, would you expect a full refund? I hope not—but a handful of customers at this lodging facility seem to think they're entitled to one. They basically start blaming the front desk agent for the cold weather in Florida, despite her having absolutely no control over the matter (unless she has a weather machine she's not fessing up about). In true Karen and Kevin fashion, one after another, these entitled hotel guests are reminded that not everything is free.
