This fully grown adult admitted that she had been going through a tough time, so it's only natural that her mother, who lives nearby, would want to help. That being said, she had clearly communicated to her mother that her presence was not needed or wanted and that she needed to establish some boundaries.
Unfortunately for her, this mother was unable to respect said boundaries and even broke into her daughter's home first thing in the morning to compulsively clean the kitchen after a recent visit. She had complained that her daughter's living was not up to her standard and insisted upon “helping” to make things easier. Of course, her so-called “contributions” only did the opposite.
