‘She was NOT invited’: Woman demands she attends the 10-person destination wedding of a distant relative, ‘very confrontational’ brother steps in to save the day

When planning a wedding, one of the biggest stressors is the guest list. It is not just about inviting everyone you want to be there, but also about making sure you invite the right amount of people within your budget and that the people you love the most are there. That means best friends, close family members, and maybe +1s for them. Distant relatives, friends of friends, and co-workers are most definitely last on the list—and that should be understood. With how expensive weddings are these days, there should be no hard feelings if you weren't invited to your brother's cousin's daughter's wedding. Like… That feels like it should be common knowledge, no?

Apparently not, because some relatives get FOMO no matter what—even if they are told, straight to their faces, that they are not wanted at said event. Take, for instance, this distant relative who took the meaning of "annoying" to a new level all because she wanted to attend the wedding of her cousin's daughter. If it was a wedding with no limit to their budget, then sure, why not? But since it was a very small destination wedding with only 10 people on the guest list, she was told over and over again that she was NOT invited. Some how, that did not compute…

Don't you worry, though, because with every crazy Karen relative there is a closer relative that will stand up for you. In this case it was the "very confrontational and authoritative" brother.
