Bonjour, tea-spillin' ladies. Like all things, destination weddings have their pros and cons. If you and your partner are from two different countries, separated by vast distances, picking a location somewhere in between to have your special ceremony might be the best option. Many brides spent their whole lives envisioning a wedding in Paris or Italy and won't hesitate at the opportunity to make their dreams come true. Some destination weddings actually come out a little cheaper for the bride and groom than a wedding in the US, where the price of venues and catering can be astronomical.

The thing about destination weddings is that you cannot expect that everyone will be able to come. Some people do not have the budget for plane tickets and hotel stays, and many cannot take time off of work for a vacation.
