In our story today, a young woman's life is constantly disrupted by her mother's last-minute demands to care for her 4-year old stepsister. Our empathetic protagonist understands her mother's struggle to hop back in the dating pool, but she is sick of having to clear her schedule every time she has a romantic evening planned.
