Moving in with a partner is a huge step to take in a relationship, and there are a lot of differing opinions on when would be the best time to make that decision. A lot of people would say that you shouldn't move in with a partner unless you're sure you see yourself being with them long-term. That being said, people also say it's important to live with your partner before committing to them long-term because you never know what it's like to live with someone until you do it for real. There are exceptions to every rule: some people who move in together, sure they're in it for the long haul, don't last more than a year. Others never move in with their partner and share wonderful but separate lives.
