In the story below, it centers around the difficulty of being a child or teenager among absent parents. The protagonist is a woman who got a divorce from her husband when their son together was young. After their divorce, her ex-husband remarried, and they had a daughter of their own. The daughter grows up in an environment that she doesn't feel comfortable in. she feels unseen, unheard, ignored, and neglected. Instead of the parents showing up to treat her better, they try to give her to the protagonist.
