A Pondful of 28 Frog Memes for Hippity-Hoppity Humans Feelin' Froggy

Smol, vulnerable, and slimy frogs and toads are probably the least threatening animals on Earth. Yet still, my husband is deathly afraid of them. What could be so scary about a soft n' sticky critter that's more akin to a melted mochi ice cream than a deep sea spooky squid with razor-sharp teeth and an unquenchable bloodlust? Unpredictability. 

That's right, I married a man who's afraid of daring and unpredictable frogs. They hop, they flop, and their ribbit in the dark wet corners of the world. Ironically, when I was a kid, my favorite pastime was catching frogs and toads in the neighborhood. My cousins would shine flashlights in the dark, lifting the lids of neighbors' sprinkler systems, trash cans, and electrical boxes, hoping to see a sticky smol boy hiding in the corners of some wet hideout. We'd fill buckets with little frogs and brag to our parents about the night's haul. I was a proud frogger and could only behold the amphibious world with childlike wonder.
