Japanese Girls Caught Posing for Google Street View Spark Fan Art Trend of Anime Characters Crossing the Street

Welcome, anime fans and stans. Have you ever been lucky enough to catch a Google Street View vehicle driving around, taking pictures, and mapping an area? The car has a sphere on top consisting of several cameras that snap pictures every few seconds or so. A software stitches the images together and with the help of GPS, creates the maps we know, love, and depend on. There are all sorts of purposeful easter eggs and accidental hilarious snapshots found on Google's Street View feature. You can even catch glimpses of celebrities caught on camera — such as Dancing with the Star's Sasha Farber trying to pick up an overturned trash can.
