New year, same me. I can admit it, not all of us are trying to be the best version of ourselves between Christmas and the New Year. The holiday season brings out the goblin in everyone as we slog around the house in nothing but 2-week-old sweat pants, sweaty leftovers, and the dwindling motivation to leave the house for anything other than binge drinking. That's where New Year's Eve comes into play.
By the time 2025 rolls around, most people are so thoroughly heebie-jeebied by the chaotic laziness festering in their house that they decide to better themselves with a resolution or two. But for those of us who know ourselves better than that, we know this year will be just like the rest. After a few weeks of an attempted dry January, we'll crack, cancelling a newly renewed gym membership in lieu of a TV show subscription. That's okay, we gave it our best shot!
