Ladies who are married (and even ladies you aren't), how important is communication in the relationship? There's no excuse not to tell your wife that you're taking the day off. She has every right to be upset about it, and if he's so scared to tell his own wife that he's taking a vacation day, then maybe there are other problems in the relationship that need addressing.
