It's getting toward the end of the year, which means we're looking back on all our triumphs of 2024- all the things we accomplished, we're proud of, and we want to carry forward into 2025. It also might mean we're reflecting on all the things we did wrong-- all the mistakes we made, all the things we fumbled, all the times we pushed a door that said "pull." This is just as important of a practice but goes under-utilized. Failure is part of what makes us human. We need to make mistakes, or else we will never learn from anything.
Imagine if a baby never threw a plate to the ground on purpose. They would never know what happens to plates when you throw them, and then they would grow up to be horrible waiters and waitresses. We wouldn't want that, would we? Good thing we have design fails that are here to humble us.
