Driver honks at neighbor for using the bus stop in front of his house while he's leaving for work: 'The bus is blocking him in.'

The commuter was trying to get to work. She takes a bus that comes every 15 minutes, and it just happens to arrive exactly when her neighbor leaves for work in his car. The problem is that the bus stop is right in front of his driveway, so the bus momentarily blocks him from leaving while his lone neighbor boards.

“When the bus arrives and I get on, he’s started honking, as he’s trying to get out in his van, and the bus is blocking him in.”

The neighbor's honking is already annoying enough as is. After all, it's not like he has the right away here. A bus stop is a fixed entity, and it's not going to move because the bloke who lives in the house behind it has a problem with it. It's also not as if it takes a long time to pick up one rider. The commuter pointed out that he's particularly angry at her because she's the only person who gets on at this stop at this time. Because he blames her so, he asked her to change her morning routine to fit his needs.

“The other day, he said to me, “Can I get a different bus as the one I get always blocks him in.""

She explained that she needed to catch that bus to get to work on time, but she considered taking an earlier bus following this confrontation. It's clear that he should just leave five minutes earlier so he doesn't get blocked in, but that clearly doesn't compute in his mind. The bus comes at the same time every day, so he should be able to plan his commute around it, but he's too selfish for that. Instead, he wants his neighbor to go out of her way to find a different route to work so he won't blow a gasket. The commuter is clearly trying to prevent the conflict from escalating, but she shouldn't have to drastically alter her commute to accomodate for her neighbor's rage.
