The forest canopy above casts dappled shadows as you push through dense underbrush, following the faint whispers of a legend long forgotten. At last, you emerge into a clearing, face-to-face with the entrance to an ancient ruin. Its stone façade is crumbled but still imposing, vines curling around symbols worn smooth by centuries of wind and rain. At its center is a stone door engraved with strange runes.
Tracing your fingers over the runes, you notice a faint inscription: "Only those of wit and humor shall pass." Below it are three symbols: a laughing face, a mimic chest, and a dragon's tail. Instinctively, you press the laughing face, and the door creaks open, revealing a narrow passage lit by glowing blue moss.
Inside, you find a small pedestal, and atop it rests a book bound in cracked leather and embossed with golden lettering: "The Great Compendium of Memes, Volume VII: Dungeons & Dragons Edition."
