There's a price to relying on the kindness of strangers, especially if you're the kind stranger. After all, what would you do if your 55-year-old neighbor, who was recently evicted from her apartment by your landlord, knocked on your door one night with no place to stay? Would you not succumb to your decent impulses and let her crash on your couch, even if it's just for one night? Unfortunately, in this instance, it was far from just one night.
This lady hadn't had another place lined up despite the fact that she was warned about this inevitable eviction for quite some time. Of course, this should have been a sign to the Redditor and their roommates that this woman's time staying in their apartment must be limited. They even tried to express that clearly to her, to no avail. Their cutoff date for her to move out was two weeks, which was beyond generous as this was a fully grown adult. Well, after two weeks, she seemed to be at home, having made no effort in her plans to find another apartment of her own.
