'Tis the season to receive an underwhelming Christmas bonus from your out-of-touch employer! Sometimes, it's a basket of stale cookies. Sometimes, it's a water bottle with the company logo on it that you can't even put in the dishwasher. And sometimes, it's a $25 gift card to the AMC movie theater near you, which for this employee, was a full 1.5 hours away and in an entirely other state.

Anyone who knows anything about AMC will understand that if you're going to get someone a $25 gift certificate, you might as well gift them the first month of an AMC stubs membership, which costs the same amount but allows subscribers to attend multiple movies a week if they wish. The point is that this employer got it all wrong in so many ways.
