If you clicked your way to this silly collection of BBC's Sherlock memes, then I assume you are, or have been, a devoted part of the Sherlock fandom. My question is, and this does not have anything to do with the memes that you are soon going to enjoy, at what stage did you join this unique fandom?

Fans who only recently found this gem are, of course, welcome, but might not be aware of the struggle this fandom went through when the show was still airing. Looking for these memes today has taken me down memory lane to those struggles, and I have to say, I am not too happy about it. 

In case you are unaware, one of the biggest challenges this fandom had to go through was the two-year break that happened between season 2 and season 3. While it is unfortunately quite common these days to wait two years for a new season, back then the longest fans waited for a new season was a few months. Having to wait two years after the terrible cliffhanger that happened at the end of season two was one of the most harrowing experiences I had to go through as a devoted fan of anything, truly, and I am simply glad we managed to get through it together.
