Cats and books go together like horse and carriage, perhaps because both have a calming effect and are synonymous with leisure. Cuddling on the couch works with both, books and fluffy felines, so the equation is clear. Throw some soup or tea into this wholesome mixture, and you've got yourself a legendary solo date night.
In this day and age, when scrolling is so enticing (which we relate to), reading has become a bit obsolete. We want to read a great book with compelling writing and an engaging plot, but we have to go through at least four social apps, resulting in falling asleep with Cheetos crumbs on our cheeks.
As New Year's resolutions approach, we suggest treating yourself to a weekly date night - an evening of pampering at home. Put on some vibing music, pour yourself a warm beverage, curl up with your cute cuddly cat, and dive head-first into an ameowzing book. As you can see in the memes we curated here, cats and books are a perfect combo, and guarantee a good night's sleep and glowing skin.
It's not that we have nothing to do or an unbelievable amount of content to scroll through, just that ending a book feels like a crisis of sorts. Once you've crossed the first chapter, you're already forming a connection with the characters, and embarking on their journey. When the final pages turn, the characters you've grown to know and love part ways with you - and that's heartbreaking.
It's astounding that, in the past, we had to go to the library to find information in books and ask the librarian for help! Now, almost all information is at the palms of our hands, so there's no more terror of returning books late and getting scolded by the stern librarian. (Why are they always tough?)
