If you ever got fired from a job you knew you did so well, you must have had this one thought cross your mind – 'Fools, they made the mistake of their lives'. Meaning, as you leave the job, you know they will regret letting you go when they see just how much work isn't getting done without you.
The best thing that can happen to you in this scenario, is for them to eventually crawl back on all fours, and beg you to take your job back. Sure, it is quite unlikely that something like this would happen, but it does happen sometimes, and this story proves so.
OP (original poster), wrote to Reddit after they got fired from their job due to it becoming redundant. A week after that, as OP was looking for a new job, they got a text from their previous boss telling OP that they made a mistake, and asking them to consider coming back. Despite the unpleasant farewell from that boss, OP decided to consider the offer, but not before making some important demands first.
