Shopping for the Holidays often brings out the worst in people. This could not be more apparent than on Black Friday. Hopefully, we all survived this tumultuous day by staying home and doing all our holiday shopping online this year like a sane person. However, who can't resist hearing about the crazies who still run amok in retail stores the day after Thanksgiving as if their lives depended on that 40% discount?
Here, we have a retail worker who was unfortunately scheduled at the start of Black Friday. The Karen in question arrived before 8:00am and before the madness in the store. She purchased her gifts, the Redditor gave her the receipt, and she was off… for a short amount of time. About 20 minutes later, the Karen came marching back and insisted that she never got her receipt. At this point, however, the store was packed with other shoppers and no manager was on hand to help the Redditor retrieve the old transaction. This explanation was, of course, not enough to satisfy the Karen, who decided that she was well within her rights to make a scene.
Keep scrolling below for the full story and for the fallout. When you're done, take a look at this post about another Karen's temper tantrum after her coworker got to leave work early.
