Hiking Karen lectures couple for bringing emotional support dog on hiking trail with no dogs allowed, starts debate about service animals: 'Karen is in the right'

While it is never an easy topic to talk about, there are some places that dogs simply shouldn't be—even if they're considered to be some kind of service animal. Although sometimes it is just a matter of personal preference, there can be good reasons not to allow dogs in certain places even when they're outdoors. 

However, that never stops some dog owners from taking their pets where they please. This can be a contentious thing no matter what, but it becomes an extra level of controversy when people assign their canine friends as emotional support animals. This was the crux of the issue in a recent video, in which a woman on a hiking trail was branded a Karen for pointing out to a couple with an emotional support dog that it was not allowed on the path they were on. Some people were angry at her insistence, but others believed that she had a point.
