Back in the day, Coca-Cola bottle caps held the promise of dreams. They hid tiny letters under those caps, and if you managed to spell out the right word, you could win incredible prizes—or at least, what seemed incredible to a kid. One summer, they unveiled the ultimate prize: a fridge shaped like a giant Coca-Cola can. It was glorious! The idea of having a mini-fridge all to myself, and shaped like a Coke can no less, was too much for my little brain to handle.
I drank an absurd amount of Coke, collecting bottle caps like they were treasure. When I finally got the right combination of letters, I was over the moon. The day the prize arrived was like Christmas—until I opened the box. It turned out that "fridge" was a bit of a stretch. The thing was tiny! It could barely hold two cans. My excitement deflated faster than a warm soda. Still, I kept it proudly—it was a trophy of my determination, even if it wasn't quite the fridge of my dreams.
