Siblings are a difficult part of growing up—even when you're an adult, you're going to be prone to troubles with them. But, during your developmental years, you're going to be constantly compared to them—both by yourself and others. This creates complex psychological interworking and can create complex disorders and issues.
And this is just with normal siblings; I can't claim to have one myself, but I can only imagine that with twins, it's a lot harder. No longer are they only similar to you or close in age; they're a literal carbon copy. Fraternal twins will still be forced by their identical age to share almost everything despite not sharing identical genetic makeup. Now, there's no excuse for doing poorly in class or not being the star athlete in the family—or not being a social butterfly—when your literal twin is those things and more.
These twins clashed over their shared social life, the sister who shared her story with this online community explains a desire for separation and distinction between her and her sister's social lives, which has led to conflict within their family. See one of the twin's account of events below, which she shared with a popular online community.
