Woman Fires Employee on the Spot After She Spends $2,000 on Company Credit Card for ‘Farewell Party,’ Despite Her Never Actually Quitting, Causing Office Uproar

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. Have you ever quit or been fired on the spot? There's a sense of empowerment about quitting somewhere right then and there. To throw the apron on the ground, and storm out in front of the boss and other employees is a huge way to stick it to the man. You can walk away feeling relieved, empowered, and justified. But being fired on the spot? Now that's a different story. It can invoke shame, disappointment in oneself, and embarrassment. 

This brings us to the Reddit thread. In this story the original poster (OP) is a woman who is the owner of a small company. She has one employee in particular who has caused all sorts of issues. After OP leaves on a vacation, she comes back to find that this employee has taken the company credit card, spent $2,000 of the company's money on food, drinks, and decorations to throw herself a 'farewell party' at work. OP claims she never even put in a letter of resignation, or a month's notice. OP even learns afterwards that this employee isn't quitting and has no intention to leave the company! Anyone would do what she did in this situation.
