Rain is one of the more polarizing forms of weather. Some people think about it and immediately conjure up fantasies of skipping through puddles or cozying up in bed while hearing it patter on the windowpane. Others recall the time it ruined their barbeque, or they had to walk home in it with a hole in their shoe. No matter how many detractors it can have, there is no denying it is an essential part of what keeps our fragile ecosystem afloat. It makes the plants grow and fills the reservoirs, and we will always need that. That is naturally a good enough reason for it to be the subject of some memes. Whether welcomed or prayed away, rain is here to stay (surely climate change hasn't gone that wild with it yet). In these final days of fall, it's important we recognize one of its most quintessential weather types.
