Dogs are often better people than… people. They will forgive you no matter what, greet you with a smile, and not hold any grudges. Except maybe against their groomers. Their default, though, is to be good boys. They will be good boys no matter what.
Do you think dogs harbor resentment, or is that only a human emotion? Are we the only ones that have deep-seated anxieties, or do dogs have that too? I doubt it. They have pretty good lives, after all. Their food is provided for them every day, they get taken on little adventures, and they get to chew on rubber all day. I wouldn't mind that life. I would absolutely trade places with a dog for the day if given the chance. I think anyone would. It's pretty clear they have it better than us. They even get memes made in their honor. Too bad they can't read.
