It's that time of year again–the holiday season.
Although none of us are ready to be berated by our parents at the family dinner, since they're always wondering how we ended up as single, LOTR fans quoting the lines of an old book and watching strange, creature-filled movies from the early 2000s, we are still ready for the colder months. Why? Because it's primetime to rewatch all of the Lord of the Rings movies again!
That's right, picture this: It's a chilly morning, you have no pre-made plans, your order delivery pizza, and just as you cozy up under the covers with The Fellowship of the Ring queued up, it starts to rain. Life is good.
So while we dread the strange family encounters of the holiday season, at least we can count our lucky stars that our parents are nothing like Denethor, and we can count on the fact that we'll be eating far more than our fill of Lembas bread. Even as we traipse barefoot over the mountains and into Mordor, at least we'll have a sizzling brown turkey leg waiting for us at the end (and no, I'm not talking about a crispy, lava-shriveled Gollum).
