H*ll hath no fury like a middle-aged woman trying to get a refund from a store. Before the term "Karen" even went into widespread use, I knew these women and what it was like to be on the receiving end of their fits of rage. When I was a teen working in retail, all I could think was that these women (and men, not all Karens are women) must not have real problems. If they had real things to worry about, they wouldn't scream at 16-year-old waitresses because the chefs forgot to take the veggies off their orange chicken order with white rice. Most of us can see how inconsequential that mistake is and go on with our day, but so many entitled people can't even go through the most minor inconveniences without screaming at someone. The woman in this story is one of those people, but she took it a step further. She called the police because she couldn't get a refund.
