After working remotely at a small company of under 50 employees, he became the only fully remote employee because of a medical condition that made it nearly impossible to commute to the office. This was never a problem, and their work never suffered as a result of this arrangement. However, with no warning, the employee received an email that they must report to work in person starting next week. To make matters even worse, their employer has avoided any contact or communication about the directive.
