You know that sinking feeling you get when you're playing a video game and you've just completed a story portion of the game and as you're walking into what you suspect is the next arena, you stumble upon a suspiciously huge pile of ammo and supplies? While the looter in all of us rejoices at our surplus, the realist gamer within knows exactly what that means: Boss fight incoming.
I don't know about you, but I always quick save before every fight. Complete a random wave of enemies? Quick save. Solve a simple puzzle? Quick save. Change your character specs? Quick save.
Perhaps it's the mild gamer paranoia, but more so in my later years, it's because I'm a casual gamer. I'm no longer overly confident in my gaming skills and as the game prompts me to prepare myself for a big fight, I'm more ill-equipped than ever! Funnily enough, even on games that casual gamers have scoured for years, there are still moments of stomach-dropping worry that sweeps over a gamer's soul when they've forgotten to quick save, perish immediately against a worthy foe, and realize they'll have to do it all over again from the beginning. Oof.
So if you're also a casual gamer and you're looking to level up your laughs, scroll onward for a meme list fit for the King of Average Joe Gamers.
